On Monday, July 27, Activ8 Commerce will be updating our SSL security certificates as part of an industry-wide internet security standard.

If you use Activ8 POS on an iPad (either the iOS app or through your web browser), please verify that your device can be updated to iOS 17.7 or later.

• ✅ If your iPad supports iOS 17.7 or later, simply install the update.
• ⚠️ If your iPad cannot be upgraded to iOS 17.7, it will need to be replaced to continue using Activ8 POS after the security update. If your iPad cannot be upgraded, Activ8 POS V2 is also available on supported Android devices using a web browser.

This is an industry-wide security requirement and is not specific to Activ8.

New Feature Announcement: Zebra Printer Packing Slips

We’re excited to introduce Zebra Printer Packing Slips for wineries and distilleries using Activ8 Commerce shipping workflows.

This new feature prints packing slips directly alongside your shipping labels in a simple, efficient sequence:

Label → Packing Slip → Label → Packing Slip

No more sorting labels and slips after printing.

Designed for Real-World Fulfillment

Each packing slip includes:

• Shipment tracking number in both text and barcode format
• Packing slip title from the Merchant Shipping tab
• Contact email from your shipping settings
• Complete order item details

For larger shipments, the system automatically creates multiple packing slips as needed. For example, an order containing 14 wines will generate:

• Packing Slip 1 – First 12 wines
• Packing Slip 2 – Remaining 2 wines

This ensures every package includes the correct documentation without manual adjustments.

Compatible Zebra Printers

These packing slips are designed for Zebra ZPL-compatible printers, allowing fulfillment teams to print labels and packing slips together in one streamlined process.

This enhancement helps reduce packing errors, improve workflow efficiency, and simplify high-volume shipping operations.

Additional Enhancements to Activ8 Cloud

We’ve also made a few helpful updates to Activ8 Cloud, your browser-based back office:

• Tracking codes can now be edited directly from four order management sheets, making corrections faster and easier.
• Ship Via and Ship Type can now be updated until an order is charged.
• PageView now allows these shipping detail changes even after an order has been charged, giving your team more flexibility when adjustments are needed.

Small improvements that make day-to-day order management a little easier.
